The Living Desert Zoo is 30 minutes from Palm Springs, in the township of Palm Desert.
The 100-acre zoo is divided into three regions; the African Safari with rhinos, giraffes and cheetahs, Australian Adventures with wallabies and emus, and Wild Americas with mountain lions and coyotes.
There are also some beautiful desert gardens to explore, representing Baja California, the Foothills of Sonora, Mojave and Upper Colorado, and East Africa and Madagascar. Spend some time exploring these incredible gardens.
