The Price Sculpture Forest is free to visit, and is a few minutes east of Coupeville on beautiful Whidbey Island. It’s usually open everyday (check hours).
The Price Sculpture Forest was established by the Price Family as a non-profit, in consultation with an array of talented artists.
The Price Family originally planned to build their house on this 10.1-acre property, but settled elsewhere in Coupeville. They then placed a permanent Conservation Easement on the property protecting it from subdivision, development and clear-cutting, and protecting this forest for generations to come.
Set aside 1-hour to visit
Set aside an hour to stroll along a 0.6 mile forested trail at the Price Sculpture Forest, to see over 20 unique sculptures. Some of the sculptures are immediately visible on the forest floor, and others are installed high up in the tree canopy.
Upper & Lower Loop trails
The trail at the Price Sculpture Forest is divided into an upper loop (“Natured Nurtured”) and lower loop (“Whimsy Way”). The upper loop trail is flat and wide, and best for visitors looking for an easier walk. It connects with the lower loop trail that is more strenuous, and winds downhill with an 100-foot drop in elevation, before heading back uphill.
