Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie is a charming, small town in the Cascade Mountains, 30-minutes east of Seattle. It has a picturesque setting on the Snoqualmie River, just 1-mile upstream from the magnificent Snoqualmie Falls.

There's plenty of restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and gift shops along Falls Avenue Southeast in Snoqualmie, with a fun brewery directly overlooking the river.

History enthusiasts can walk to the historic Snoqualmie Depot on Railroad Avenue, to see exhibits on the arrival of the railway in this valley, or ride the train to the top of Snoqualmie Falls.

Snoqualmie is also home to two wineries Chateau Noelle and Mt Si Winery.

1. Historic Downtown Snoqualmie.

Explore art galleries, gift shops, wine bars, cafes and restaurants along Railroad Avenue and Falls Avenue SE in downtown Snoqualmie.

Get a great view of famous Mt Si, just one street from downtown Snoqualmie on Park Avenue SE.  It's a strenuous 4-mile hike up to the overlook at the top of Mt Si, with spectacular views of the Snoqualmie Valley to Seattle, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

2. Snoqualmie Falls Brewery.

Bustling Snoqualmie Falls Brewery has a riverside setting in historic downtown Snoqualmie, with indoor or outdoor seating.

3. Sandy Cove Park.

Enjoy lunch at one of the riverside picnic tables at Sandy Cove Park. It's next door to Snoqualmie Falls Brewery.

4. Historic Snoqualmie Depot.

The historic Snoqualmie Depot was built in 1890, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visit the free exhibition room and book shop inside, to learn all about the changes to Snoqualmie Valley after the railway came through.  Outside there are plenty of vintage engines and train cars to explore and climb on, with signs detailing their history.

Visitors can also take a 2-hour train ride from the Snoqualmie Depot to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, stopping off at the Railway History Center (buy tickets).

5. Railway History Center.

The Railway History Center is 1-mile south of Downtown Snoqualmie, and features a 25,000 foot Train Shed Exhibit Hall, full of vintage locomotives and passenger and freight cars (purchase tickets).

6. No Boat Brewing Company.

The nautical themed No Boat Brewing Company is 3-miles west of Downtown Snoqualmie, inside a large warehouse with an expansive patio area (check hours).

7. Snoqualmie Falls.

Snoqualmie Falls is 1-mile west of Downtown Snoqualmie, and free to visit. It's a short walk from the parking lot to the top of the falls, or you can take the 20 minute walk down to the base of the falls.

8. Three Forks Natural Area.

The Three Forks Natural Area is a 200-acre park at the confluence of three forks of the Snoqualmie River, with close-up views of Mt Si.

9. Snoqualmie Point Park.

The Snoqualmie Point Park has open lawned areas and trails, with commanding views of Mt Si and the Snoqualmie Valley.

10. Chateau NoElle.

Chateau NoElle is tucked away in a wooded area just 6 miles from Snoqualmie Downtown. This award winning winery has an outdoor patio area overlooking the vines (check hours).
