1. Visit the Tasting Room at the Port Townsend Winery, on the outskirts of town.

The Port Townsend Winery (2640 Sims Way) is at the southern entrance of Port Townsend, housed inside a dramatic barn. This is the main production facility for Port Townsend Vineyards, with an environmentally friendly custom crush facility. It's also home to a lovely Tasting Room that opened in 2017.  Grapes are sourced locally for sparkling wines, and from Oregon and Eastern Washington for whites and reds.

Step outside to the covered patio adjacent to the Tasting Room, with firepits to keep it nice and toasty in winter. There's also a pavilion with a lawned area a short distance away, with plenty of tables and lawn games for visitors.

Drive 10 minutes north into downtown Port Townsend, to visit the Tasting Room at Vintage inside the F.C.Clapp Building (1885). This elegant, Victorian-style building has had many uses over the years, including a dry goods store, bank and saloon. It opened as a Tasting Room for Port Townsend Vineyards, after an extensive renovation in 2019.
