Sellwood Pool is a seasonal outdoor pool in the leafy southeast Portland neighborhood of Sellwood.
This beautiful, oval shaped pool is perfect for all ages, with a depth ranging from zero entry, to seven feet at the deep end. There’s also a tube slide and fun spray fountains to cool off on a hot summer’s day.
History: Sellwood Pool has been open since 1910, and is Portland’s oldest pool. Prior to the opening of Sellwood Pool, locals would walk down to the nearby Willamette River to use a floating pool.
Nearby attractions: The Sellwood Pool is on the southeast corner of Sellwood Park. After enjoying a refreshing dip in the pool, you can explore the many amenities at picturesque Sellwood Park, including a forested trail, picnic tables, a playground, and sports courts. The wooded playground is perfectly situated, just adjacent to the pool.
Alternatively, you can walk or drive a few blocks east of Sellwood Pool to 13th Avenue in Sellwood, for a great selection of restaurants, cafes and shops.
