Chophouse Row is my #1 place to visit in the vibrant neighborhood of Capitol Hill near Seattle's downtown.
I was strolling down Broadway one day, and was intrigued by a neon sign that said "Shop the Alley!". I'm always intrigued by nooks and crannies, so followed the red arrow down a charming alley lined with shops and restaurants, and steel beams overhead. The alley then lead to an internal courtyard where a band was playing to a crowd, relaxing at chairs and tables.
What makes the Chophouse Row concept special, is that it's the perfect partnership between the old and the new. The developer took an old auto repair shop, then built a modern apartment and office building around it.
