Bothell Landing

Bothell Landing is a beautiful 6-acre riverfront park just one block from downtown Bothell, on Seattle’s Eastside.  On a sunny day it’s grassy banks are full of people jogging, biking or walking, while overlooking the picturesque Sammamish River.   

The main attractions include kayak and paddleboard rentals, a pirate-themed playground, and an arched pedestrian bridge linking to the Sammamish River Trail.

You can also tour 3 dwellings at the Bothell Historical Museum; the William Hannan House (1893), Beckstrom log cabin (1884), and Bothell’s first schoolhouse (1885).

1.Boat rentals 

Rent a kayak or paddleboard from WhatsSup Rentals at the Bothell Landing Park. Lessons and guided tours are also available. 

Paddle 3-miles west along the Sammamish River, until you reach Log Boom Park at Lake Washington.  

2. Playground

Hang out at the fun, pirate themed playground at Bothell Landing Park, with swings, slides and climbing equipment for kids.

3. Pedestrian Bridge to Sammamish River Trail

Cross the beautiful arched bridge over the Sammamish River, to start the 10-mile Sammamish River Trail.  The paved trail travels from Bothell Landing to Marymoor Park, and takes 3.5 hours to complete. 

Along the way you can stop at the Woodinville wineries, and visit the Barking Frog RestaurantDeLille Cellars Winery, or the Maryhill Tasting Room. Bikes are also permitted along this trail.

4. William Hannan House (1893)

The historic William Hannan House (1893) is open for tours at Bothell Landing Park. This well preserved Queen Anne style house was originally owned by pioneers George and Alice Bothell. George was both a civil war veteran, and Bothell’s first mayor. He was also the son of its founder who platted the town in 1889.

The home was originally located a block up the hill on Bothell’s main street, but moved here in 1978. Check hours.

5. Bothell’s First Schoolhouse (1885)

Step back into time to tour Bothell’s First Schoolhouse, constructed in 1885. Check hours.

6. Beckstrom Log Cabin (1884)

The Beckstrom Log Cabin once housed a pioneering Bothell family with 16 kids!  Somehow they all fit inside this one room cabin. Check hours.

7. Outdoor amphitheater shows

Catch a summertime show in the riverfront amphitheater at Bothell Landing Park

8. Picnic tables & BBQ

Gather family and friends together at a picnic table in a lovely, riverfront setting. Many of the picnic tables have BBQs.

9. Benches & Lawn Area

Enjoy a quiet day at Bothell Landing Park, while relaxing on the lawns or benches, and watching the ducks and herons on the riverbank.
