Brackett's Landing South is a beachfront area in the scenic township of Edmonds, just north of Seattle. It's part of a larger park that's divided into north and south sections by a Ferry Terminal.
The southern part of the park has a large expanse of beach, with glorious views out to the Olympic Mountains. There are plenty of benches to sit on, and gaze out at the ferries gliding over the chilly waters of Puget Sound, to Kingston on the Kitsap Peninsula.
There's also a waterfront path that starts at Brackett's Landing South, and can be followed all the way to Marina Beach Park (20 minute walk). This path passes the modern Edmonds Waterfront Center where you can watch the ferries from a coffee shop with a magnificent wall of windows. The path also passes the Edmonds Fishing Pier for soaring views of Puget Sound, and Anthony's Homeport at the marina, for waterfront dining.
